✨ The 6–0, 6–0 women’s final was only the second “double-bagel” Grand Slam final in the Open Era (after the 1988 French Open). Świątek became the first Pole to win Wimbledon and the eighth woman in the Open Era to win on all three surfaces.
Key Storylines from Wimbledon 2025 Results
Alcaraz had won 20 consecutive matches at Wimbledon across 2023 and 2024. Sinner broke that streak in the final, becoming the first Italian man to win the title and avenging his French Open final defeat weeks earlier.
The 6–0, 6–0 scoreline placed Świątek’s victory in ultra-rare company — only the third double-bagel Grand Slam final ever and only the second in the Open Era. Anisimova, a semifinalist at the 2021 French Open, was simply outclassed.
Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool became the first British men’s doubles champions at Wimbledon in the modern era, defeating the Australian-Dutch pair of Hijikata and Pel 6–2, 7–6(3) in the final.
