The referee’s office releases each day’s order of play around 7:00 PM BST the previous evening on wimbledon.com. It is never confirmed further in advance.
Only the first match on each court has a fixed start time. Every following match begins when the previous one ends — so “2nd on Centre Court” could start anywhere from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Defending champions traditionally open Centre Court on Day 1 (men) and Day 2 (women). Top seeds rotate between Centre Court and Court 1 through the first week.
